Instead, it was to be sold as a paint remover.

I bought this because my cat was scratching under my apartment door and I didn't want to lose my pet deposit. I installed this product in mid-May and went to remove it this morning (end of July). In these two months, the plastic completely fused with the color of the door. I tried warming it up before taking it off and that only made things worse. I took my time and slowly and carefully tried to remove the lining, but it got worse. I also attached it to the wood paneling around the windows to avoid jumping scuff marks. When I (carefully) removed it, the dark stain disappeared with it. Worst of all, my cat's claws went through the plastic within a day or so. It's a pretty tight liner so I thought it would help, but it doesn't. When I was looking for a solution, I chose this product because it was said to be easy to remove and wouldn't damage furniture. NOT RIGHT. So not only have I wasted my time and money, the potential harm from my cat would be far less than that caused by this product. Word to the wise: If you're looking to use this on any type of stained, stained, laminated, or other treated wood, keep looking. It's probably fine for hard plastic or bare metal, but anything else will be painful. You also get a lot of plastic for the price. It would be great if the product itself wasn't so destructive.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
