I don't know where the leather is on this item but the fabric on it seems quite durable. Fairly slick which also means it doesn't easily snag on things in my purse. The missing star up to 5 stars is connected to the clasp. It doesn't look like it will last very long. The last such type lasted a few years but then broke a small latch. Nothing lasts forever LOL but the fox is beautiful and busy. Hope the trim will hold onto that as it's the main part you push down to close the clasp.
