Review on Comica Traxshot: Ultimate All-in-One Shotgun Microphone for Camera, iPhone, and Smartphone by Holly Bell

This is by far the most versatile camera microphone I have ever used. In all usage scenarios (stereo, mono, front and rear) it works as expected and sounds fantastic. Comica has really come a long way with the sound quality their microphones capture without any post-processing. At the moment I'm sitting on a tripod and taking my shots in mono from above. I'll be using the split stereo mode for a couple of videos I have planned and it also works great in a situation like an interview. The fact that you can record front and back is just awesome! Functional gain on a budget mic is a plus. So far I haven't had to make any adjustments to the post when my gain is set to five. Plus it has decent noise cancellation because I forgot to turn the fan off while recording and I can't hear it in the background at all. Another interesting feature are the small rubber feet for noise and vibration dampening. They work surprisingly well. When I put this on a tripod on my desk, I don't hear any tabletop noise unless I'm just tapping on something. Just indicate where you want to get the audio from and you're done. This will definitely be the "noise" microphone for my handicraft videos. Overall I'm very happy with it and can't wait to get into some ASMR type videos. The sound quality exceeds my expectations and beats the old stereo mic I used on my MV-1. On camera or on a tripod, you won't be disappointed.
