Review on π Enhance Performance with the Auto Meter 6327 Sport Comp Digital 2-1/16" 0-100 PSI Digital Oil Pressure Gauge by Joseph Brendemuehl
My mechanic said he would have preferred an Auto Meter mechanical oil level gauge.
The transmitter is large and heavy. My 240SX has a Ka 24de dual cam valve 16 that vibrates a lot. We mounted the sensor with the original warning sensor on the T-piece, on the brass tube to the engine block. Vibration and mass from the sensor broke the brass tube on the block. . The sensors are now mounted on the fender with a stainless steel encased oil line for shut off. The digital display is too bright at night to mount on the dash, so I installed the sensor on the console. It's legible there, but doesn't dazzle or distract. Seems accurate. When the pipe ruptured, the oil pressure gauge quickly dropped to 4psi.
