I read some reviews on this product and bought a 2m strip for a 55" Sony Bravia to reduce eye strain. I plugged it in to test and it flashed briefly and immediately tripped the switch. I saw an error message on the screen saying USB is drawing too much power. In order not to panic (after all, I read the reviews), I cut off a couple of LEDs and tried again. Same error message. I cut a few more. Same error message. I repeated the process until I literally ran out of light. I laughed when I realized I was left with a bunch of folded LEDs and a USB port that was empty. Knowing what I know now, I'd recommend investing in a solution that doesn't use USB as a power source.
