As a natural light photographer, I've tried to expand the space of artificial studio lighting to develop my craft. I'm familiar with the continuous lighting of softboxes but wanted to turn it into something a little more subtle profile. My studio is in a big city, so space is always at a premium. But they were the perfect addition to my studio! They take up almost no space and the tripod is SUPER high. It's also very sturdy, but you can sand it down if you want to be extra careful. Even with larger models/objects you can get a great Rembrandt with this lamp. One of my favorite parts of this lighting setup is that you can control the intensity of the light with a dial. And those lights are BRIGHT. I could bounce them off the white card and/or scatter them for more even and soft lighting. You can also use them directly for a high-contrast shot. I also appreciate that the heads tilt very easily and still hold their position firmly without slipping. Haven't tried the battery feature for these yet because I didn't buy a battery with them. While the colors are amazing, especially if you're a videographer (since you can program a different color flash), I'm sticking with my relaxed warmth to aid in my post-processing workflow. I included a flash just for fun and the colors are very accurate! Last but not least, you can connect these lights to your phone via Bluetooth to control them remotely. This is great if you have a large set and need to swap out settings, but for my purposes I just control it from behind with no issues. Overall I love the build, love the slim profile, love the light intensity and would definitely recommend!
