The plastic is thick and strong, bright color but the scoop is difficult to use as it is completely flat. If you scoop something that holds up fairly well then I'm sure it will be fine. The problem is that if you scoop something small and dry that moves slightly when scooped, the stuff just won't stay in the scoop head and will drip everywhere. I have two of these of different sizes for scooping clean cat litter into a tray and scooping dry cat food from a large container into a plate and I'm not impressed with their efforts in either of those areas. It's probably a lot easier to do with straight lines and all, but overall it's a poor design.
