This is a great idea and cheaper than buying fabric to redesign our own chairs but they were too flimsy for us and broke. We unscrewed all the chairs and set them up: it was a process as the screws had to maneuver around or through the fabric if they could. In addition, the straps are each in different places, so the optimal arrangement turned out to be criss-cross. Once they were all on (we went grey), we could still see the striped colors through them, but not enough that we felt the need to go back. However, they are a month old and have already been torn apart by our four-legged family members. They are great for a quiet home but not a home where pets can jump on as they are not thick enough to support nails popping off them.
