I was amazed at how well it worked on my daughter's dark hair. It's like color. Gets a little crunchy after drying, but can be combed out after drying to soften hair and preserve color. (This photo was taken before I knew it, and she has coarse hair, but it wasn't a big deal.) They lasted three days before I had them washed, and the pink from her pillowcase was fading but washed out. .
