The plastic used for soft touch is very brittle. I once dropped my controller from a coffee table onto a rug less than 2 feet off the floor and it jumped. After ordering a new one made of clear crystalline plastic, I disassembled the controller to replace the broken plate and found all the screw holes were broken and trust me I hadn't over tightened the screws. I've been dealing with electronics for a long time and I know how not to destroy the plastic housing. However, after disassembling, I found that the clips inside break easily and the soft-touch coating peels off in many places, this is a very fragile item. A delicacy is not your friend if you hold it in your hands for many hours. The design is impeccable but the materials are unnecessary, just buy another one from the same company, it's not a soft grip but a much harder plastic, more durable.
