If you are a perfectionist or are looking for a piece of furniture that will serve as the center of the room then I would suggest looking elsewhere. But if you're just looking for a functional shelf and don't care about aesthetics, then this item is for you. Pros: - I am picky about my furniture and this shelf is exactly what I was looking for. I searched the internet for something similar at this price and couldn't find anything else. - It's pretty strong. I'm not worried about my humidifier tipping over or anything like that. Doesn't swing. - It didn't cost much money. Cons: - Although it didn't cost much money, it's overpriced for the quality you get. I expect something of this quality to cost $60. The glass is hardened but rather fragile. Brass is scratched. My husband had to lower the top of the glass because the top frame is not level. All in all, I'm not thrilled with this item, but it does the job.
