Review on OneTigris Hideout Hammock Underquilt: Lightweight, Full-Length 4-Season Gear for Camping, Hiking, and Backpacking by Louis Mechtak

Worked well for a tall guy

I'm 6ft 3" tall and weigh over 250 pounds. Several reviews say the suspension is weak or the cables are too short. I replaced them with a 1/8" shock and fixed all the issues. The OneTigris duvet cover is large enough to cover my lower areas when lying in a 12ft diagonal lay hammock. One evening the temperature dropped to about 57 degrees and I was comfortable with just a cotton sheet on top of me. I did this on purpose to see how well UQ would work. After about 2 hours we had to leave; I needed something firmer on me to feel comfortable all night, but UQ got the job done in the time we had. Part of my foot was not protected by UQ, most likely a sleeping bag or blanket would have taken care of that in reality life situations for the night. sides, especially at the ends. Hammocks tend to build/modify the hardware anyway, so adding a side panel or even an extra layer of insulation inside the UQ to lower the temperature rating is doable and probably more effective than a manufacturer's one-stop solution. Overall, this item is efficient and good value.
