I ordered a pair of High Stream Gear ice spikes for my 9 year old granddaughter. They arrived quickly and look beautiful! I am a keen hiker myself and am happy that my granddaughter can travel safely with me through the icy terrain. Although we haven't had a chance to use them on ice and snow yet they look well made, light weight and don't trip or get snowed in, they look like they will stabilize them on icy slopes.
