Do not heat the lid in the microwave.
They're so cheap that instead of bothering friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to return containers, I just keep buying more. They are strong enough so that the lid will not come off and will not explode and leak if dropped. However, never microwave the lids, fat or "hot spots" of food in the bowl, and if you microwave red/dark frozen food, you will permanently remove the [tomato] bowl from the food.
