I have an iPhone 6 Plus with an OtterBox case. Finding a mount that securely holds my phone was a bit of a challenge. This is very handy, but only when the phone is turned upside down; The bracket does not fit snugly enough to hold the phone left to right. Therefore, the phone has to be placed in the holder at the wrong angle when charging. I bent it at various angles to test its strength, including a 90° twist in front of the suction and ball joints. I don't know what a gooseneck is made of, but I think it can be bent any way you want without fear of breaking it. I drive an '04 Jeep Liberty and the gooseneck is long enough to drop my phone on the dash, completely out of sight of the windshield. .Super easy to set up
