Check screw connections first
Article was in good condition including seals. However, check the intake and exhaust fittings in the engine at the firewall to make sure they are correct for you. I have a 2004 Colorado, I had a 5/8 and 3/4 from the factory, this part has a 5/8 for the bolt. Were you told it was a mid-year model change? It's not that hard to create your own faucet, but it's not necessary. Otherwise a quality replacement part with no problems.
