Review on GRAVE BEFORE SHAVE Gentlemen's Blend Beard Oil (Bourbon & Sandalwood Scent) by Lori Dahl

I used Grave Before Shave Bay Rum Beard Balm and it was fine. So I decided to try another product from this brand and ended up with Gentlemen's Blend Oil and Balm. At first, balm and oil have a pleasant smell. However, after a while it becomes a bit like perfume. It stops smelling like beard oil and starts smelling like something out of an old woman's perfume stash. I also noticed that the fragrance they use burns my face a bit. I haven't had this problem with Bay Rum beard balm but I suspect it's the alcohol in the scent that they use for this particular scent. The oil is fine, but the alcohol content in it makes it dry. a bit fast for my taste. I have used this and compared it to another beard balm company that I subscribe to and there is a huge difference. The subscription beard oil lasts well and smells very similar to what is advertised. This GBS oil doesn't stick well and makes my beard hair a bit brittle. If it was a little softer and less alcohol-packed, maybe it would be better. But the way her recipe is now, it doesn't suit me that well. However, I like their Bay Rum flavor.
