Our son loves to sleep on one side of his head. We bought it to round his head hoping to avoid a helmet later. So far so good, but even with the wedge and trying to prop his head up on the other side, he still likes that side. Since he's not sleeping and staring at the ceiling, I honestly don't see how much that helps. Maybe we're just too late. His head looks a little better with the wedge, but overall I'm not sure how well it performs AFTER some flat point issues. It can work best when used as soon as possible. However, my son loves sleeping on it. This is of course very convenient. If you need a safe pillow for your little one, I suggest it. But if you need help with flat spots I would look elsewhere. It's easy to clean as I usually just toss the whole pillow in the wash because the baby will burp and just suck it up. Washes well and holds up well.
