I moved in about 10 years ago and began to experience dry, red, inflamed, itchy skin and flat hair . I started investigating the cause because I was miserable and hated showering because it hurt. My eczema got worse to the point where my skin cracked and started bleeding. I haven't experienced that in years. I bought the Sprite shower filter because it had good reviews, an affordable price, and easy cartridge replacement. This is a KDF filter using Chlorine, their proprietary material. I've been using these filters for 10 years now and I find them to be very good at reducing harmful chlorine. It took about a week for my eczema to get better. I noticed a difference in my hair condition because my scalp was no longer itchy and my shampoo was working better. My skin has been clear for 10 years, it's still a little itchy, but only in winter. The filter lasts 3 months or 3000 gallons. It needs to be turned once a month to evenly saturate the particles and prolong the life of the filters. I no longer smell chlorine when I shower, which is also good because it makes my asthma worse.
