Don't forget the transponder
I replaced the key fob component and then cut out the keys thinking I was done. The car wouldn't start and they told me the keys had a security chip in them. After a little googling I found out where the transponder chip is and that you can just cut it out and replace it with new keys. YouTube for your car model when you buy it
