LED strips are great but if you've ever had to split them up into individual LEDs you know they suck and are difficult to solder because the pads are small, thin and ordinary are covered with some kind of coating. These LEDs are ideal when you need individual LEDs. They're easy to solder (although 6 solder joints per LED can take a bit), but they're perfect for the right application. All 100 arrived in good condition and worked with no problems. I combined 13 for our application and used the Neopixel library for Arduino, no problem.
