I have absolutely no doubt that the company prides itself on craftsmanship and has a right to be in almost every area. The bamboo tray is great, the mechanism that rocks the table back and forth works beautifully. My laptop fell on our tile floor and fell apart one day. A good low rim around all three sides of the tray area would have prevented this. I removed the stars because the height adjustment was so difficult to use. Due to RA I can't adjust the height myself so I sat where I needed to use it on our couch and had someone adjust it who actually tried to adjust it to the desired height. I'm 5ft 2in and there is no middle ground for me in my height range. The picture in the product information shows a rather large man and maybe that should have been the first clue. The second time we tried to set it up, the adjustment knob broke and either fell down the tube or flew off somewhere we couldn't find it. I was going to return it at the time, but it was a gift from my daughter and she is determined to make it work. A nice bamboo tablet isn't for everyone, especially if you need to use a mouse and can't use a trackpad. I'm one of those people who doesn't know how to use a trackpad. I also have vision problems which means I need a laptop with a bigger screen. I asked the person who looks after my computer to place the laptop on a bamboo surface as per the product information and he told me that this was absolutely not the case. OK. Laptops can overheat and cause a fire. So I ordered doorstops under my laptop (this was after my laptop fell on the floor). Place my laptop and mouse. I believe that the company wants to develop a good product for older people. I wish they would accommodate those of us who aren't typical elderly people. There are many older people who lose height, vision and strength as they age. There are also many older people who are no longer as slim as they were when they were young. I would sincerely recommend this beautifully constructed table to anyone, but I can't. Recommended with reservations.
