True smiles and hysterical laughter captured some GREAT unpublished photos on the last day of our vacation on the Oregon coast! We rented a big house for a week and our children and grandchildren were from Alaska, Michigan and Idaho. We bought 100 packs of Holi powder and opened them all up by putting one color in 14 gallon ziplock bags before heading to the beach. So we didn't have 100 packages floating on the sand and in the sea. We went to the beach and each got a bag. I tried to set the rules but while I was trying to spell them everyone got too excited and started throwing the powder. I'll just shut up and let her go! People aged 6 to 54 formed each other and laughed. It was the perfect amount for our group. The throwing lasted probably 8-10 minutes, and then we laughed, took photos, which everyone decided would be their New Year's photos this year! They made a fire on the beach and joked with each other. The powder did not stain, had no taste and was not visible in the sand. We will definitely repeat it!
