I will give an overview that is as complete as possible so that others can benefit from it. This is a beautiful scarf, but there are things buyers need to be aware of. The label and description says it's 100% wool. It's not as soft as silk, pashmina or cashmere, so make no mistake, it's a little itchy, but not enough to be uncomfortable to wear. I'm very sensitive to this, so I wanted to mention it. The colors are beautiful and don't fade in the wash. I gently washed it in cold water with Eucalan wool detergent and hung it over the bathroom shower rod to dry. The next morning it was dry, mainly because it is very thin. On one side the pattern appears to be screen printed, while on the other side the pattern appears muted. It's very big, I think a small person will swallow it. Even though it's very thin, it's quite warm and my office is freezing! Being thin, it can be folded compact enough to fit in an external carry-on bag. I think I'll use it as my travel scarf, it goes with almost everything I wear. All in all I think it's worth the $30+ I paid for it. However my next purchase will be a blend with silk or cashmere as I prefer the extra softness.
