I was so excited to get a bag that I thought should be a classically elegant bag and I could easily use it for other purposes, if i wanted to Boy was I wrong. It wasn't until I received it and went back to the product description on Revain that I realized I couldn't find anywhere that actually addressed the materials used in the build - it looked like high quality vinyl/faux leather in the photos, but it's nothing. larger than starched canvas and therefore completely overpriced. On the plus side it looks well tailored/constructed although time will tell. The canvas cover must withstand significant stress from various shipping and storage conditions without suffering severe wear or tear. I love the adjustable straps that keep my machine, which is on the smaller side, securely in place while still leaving room, and I'm hoping I can make good use of that extra space to store fabrics for a project when I'm on the go am. In the near future? I will use it until I find a better one for me. In the long run? It should work well as emergency storage in the trunk.
