Tested on Mac and PC. When connecting to a USB-A 3.1 port, my computer got stuck. Add USB-A 2.0 and it will appear. It's not USB 3.1 compatible on any machine I have. It worked with a USB-C port, but with a Samsong 970 EVO it started out at 40-60Mbps and quickly dropped to zero. Worked as a computer technician for over 30 years. It's easy to see that this is a dead end. There are some suggestions in the included instructions if it's not visible. You didn't help. But nothing for slowness. Maybe I got a bad one, I don't know. Returned.
