The Series 30 torque converter worked well and bolted directly to the Comet torque converter plate. At first glance it seemed like a well made product, even after a few months when my boys were karting once a week for an hour or two. Now they haven't ridden their kart in about a month because the spring conditions {mud} and mom wasn't so kind to the dirt in the house after the ride. They got out, started a little off-road go-kart and rode in my Pastor. After about fifteen minutes of his impeccable work, there was a terrible thump from the back of the cards, and although he was still working, he didn't budge. My boys have been picking up parts that fell off the kart ie the clutch disc which I am examining and the bolt holding it in place. The clutch drive pulley literally fell apart, the center weights shattered into pieces and the springs were all stretched. At the moment the pulley can be used for a total of 25 hours. I was hoping to get better use of it before replacing it as the last one lasted almost 4 years with more frequent use.
