Review on πŸ’‘ 16-Inch Linkable RGB LED Light Bar Kit for Display Cabinet - Remote Control, Multi-Colored - Pack of 4 by Jessie Vrbensky

Revainrating 2 out of 5

2 out of 3 is not bad

In a word: meatloaf. I bought 3 of these to cover 5 bookshelves. I had to test each set individually before connecting them to my bookshelves. A set only displays white or red, but no other tint colors. I am turning to the manufacturer here and in other ways for a solution - a reset button, a replacement part, a hidden switch, something else. I will UPDATE when I get a reply or by the end of this week, whichever comes first. There are many problems to be solved during installation because there are not so many instructions. Parts are modest and finicky so you have to be very careful. For example, one set - the first one I opened - only had 4 double-sided stickers to put 4 light strips on the inside of my bookshelves; but the next 2 sets contained 8 pieces each. The emitted light is partly bathed (desirable), partly shined (undesirable) on the books. Bookcase with glass door. What attracted me to this set is that the light strips are solid plastic guides attached with a long wire. I believe someone with more expertise will opt for the flexible light strips that come in a roll to cut, splice and customize their setup. I prefer the plug n play setup with less frustration straightening the twisted version that just curls with adhesive backing/tape. UPDATE: So the end of the week has come and gone; and no response to efforts to fix the light bar malfunction. So I'm sticking with a light bar that only glows in white and red. My advice is don't repeat my mistake: test each light strip before installing; or skip this company for a more reliable solution. Accordingly, I'm giving 2 out of 5 stars because only 2 out of 3 light kits worked (that's one out of three chances you'll be disappointed); and no one bothered to respond for their product. I'm sticking with my preference for this type of setup/product design for my plug-n-play convenience; but I certainly would not have bought it if I had known that it would most likely not be able to customize the color.
