I was a bit skeptical that it would work with our mattress. We have the California King, which is as thick as it fits in a pocket. It worked great and we now have a mattress stored until guests come. It is almost the same size as when we received the mattress in the box. Tip: - Place the bag on the mattress for the right size. Since we have a California King, it didn't fit at first. Had to twist it - Pull the bag so the vacuum port is over the top of the mattress. I started with the side port and I feel like this made things a bit more difficult. - Remove all mattress pads. I keep the mattress cover separately. Only 1 strap included. For such a large mattress there should be at least 2 straps.
