It's nice to have a cover that fits the backrest and windshield. My windshield is small. Its height is 17 inches and width is 15 inches. The windshield and mirror open the lid almost to full force. If you have a large windshield, this may not be for you. I love the elastic at the bottom. Keeps closed well. It also has an elastic cord with a hook on the left and a loop on the right. The tape runs along the underside of the motorcycle. It really helps keep everything safe. I have covered my bike several times right after riding. Engine and pipe heat don't seem to be an issue with this cover. I would recommend it.
