This socket fixed a burned tail light on the back of my 2012 Fusion. If the connection of the bulb to the socket burns out, the bulb is welded to the socket. Luckily, the socket is a separate piece that separates from the wiring harness with a different plug. Here is the assembled socket. The part was a genuine Ford OEM socket and fitted perfectly. New bulb, new socket and my turn signal/tail/brake light came on again in my car.
