This forces the gear on the motor shaft against the gear so tightly that it drives the armature on the motor cannot rotate. I have modified both original and spare parts and combined them into a working kit. I sanded down the large gear on the underside of the old part, being careful not to damage the small bushing around the center hole. I sanded the entire top of the new part, leaving the large gear with a small hole. I carefully drilled a small hole in the gear at 5/32 inch. I pressed the new large gear against the underside of the original part and created a single piece that worked great once fully assembled.
