MY perfect camera bag for strolling around town

I've been looking for a bag like this for a long time. Like any avid photographer, I have had and still have many camera bags. Although nothing like that. I was looking for a bag for my Rebel XT with 17-85mm lens attached, Sigma 70-200 F2.8 lens, PD70X PSD, 35mm F2 lens, batteries, cards, lens hoods, remote control , cleaner and my iPod. enough stuff to be ready for just about anything. This bag fits but doesn't look like a techie bag. My Speed 5 has been called a handbag too often. a clear sign that you need to find a home. it and I can't use any other lens at speed 5. This bag contains very little padding. it is made of thick canvas. The only padding is 3 inches wide on the sides and bottom. unpadded front and back. It comes with a Domke lens insert. He can comfortably swallow my Sigma. Perfect. A small amount of padding gives the bag a very thin profile. If you're used to having a million soft Velcro straps like the Tamrac or Lowepro bag, you'll be shocked by this bag. it is practically non-existent. Is that the kind of Domke you wear less? With this bag you tend to pack items in small nylon bags and throw them on the floor. I pulled out a velcro strap from another pocket to keep my DSLR upright. Like any other camera bag, it's not going to be perfect for every situation or for everyone. but it's perfect for me when I'm walking around the city. Things to know: 1) the shoulder strap is NOT removable 2) it comes with a label for the Domke bag 3) the top flap of the bag has a steel or plastic insert to keep the briefcase shape of the bag closed. 4) The clasp on the bag is uncomfortable but very durable. 5) Additional closures on the sides of the bag to carry more items. 6) is by no means waterproof 7) the bag probably won't stand up on its own on the ground 8) Doesn't look like and I don't mean like a camera bag. mine is sandy. gives peace of mind, especially when there's a several thousand dollar camera inside.
