Review on Lenovo ThinkPad Basic USB Dock by Steven Jackson

Drivers for this device were easy to find online, but it would be nice if there was more plug and play. Also, despite the fact that I saw in one of the answers to the questions that this device does not charge your car when connected to the dock, this turned out to be a much bigger disadvantage than I expected. In fact, the main benefit of this docking station is that one cable does it all. Well, when you need to connect to both a dock and a power source, that pretty much misses out on an extremely valuable convenience factor that I've taken for granted with all previous docks. It also ties up a power cord that I might otherwise keep in a bag or take with me to meetings (I'm not going to reach under my desk to pull it out every time I need power elsewhere, and I won't take it with me). this particular cord at home because I might accidentally leave it there - with the new type of plug there aren't too many extra cords). It's okay - I'll just buy an adapter for one of my old Lenovo power cords. However, I deducted a few stars because the food is separate. I should have gotten a more traditional dock.
