As most reviewers noted, this house was easy to assemble and we were impressed with the quality. We ordered a heating mat along with the house. We have been feeding a feral cat for two years and have made some progress in getting her to trust us (now within 3ft without running away). We were interested in how she perceived this new function. We placed the house on our sunny porch and initially did not attach plastic flaps that easily attach and remove with Velcro. We put some special treats in it and she came in and then immediately went out again. We continued like this and added treats every day. One morning we saw her leaving the house. She was obviously sleeping and when it got colder we checked there and she didn't run but stayed where it was warm and cozy. A week later we added a flap and last week a flap on the other side. At first she didn't like them, but she got used to it. Now it's almost always safely hidden inside. See photo. The best we've ever done. This is a great product at a great price. I would recommend it with great pleasure.
