Ordered and just put a pair on my desert boots. Positive: They do give snug fit to boots, no tiring and should not come loose. Negative: Followed directions exactly as instructed and illustrated on first boot and it does not leave enough slack to easily get your foot out of boot in fact it is pretty difficult. On second boot cut laces to leave more slack but when you do that you have much more extra lace to tuck in, had to go out the bottom and half way back up. Also in the field that tucked extra lace right up front could catch on obstacles/brush possibly tripping you or at the least leaving you fumbling to get loose. Will try for a week but will probably return both sets purchased. Probably would work well on tennis shoes; easier to slip out of.
