Let me start by saying this is a really great looking product, well built and at a decent price. However, note that this is a chipboard product with no water protection for the top, which is confusing as a bedside table. A very small amount of water, for example from a water bottle, will swell up and the wood fibers will burst when the water is cleaned. So I contacted the company and received exceptional customer service and a new nightstand top with a warning DO NOT WET IT. They are either working to make customers more aware of this information or to fix the problem. I said that the bedside table should be able to put a bottle of water on at night they agreed and they are working on it again. Very nice people, solved my problem with ease.
