By far the best small amp at this price

As an audiophile and mixing/mastering engineer I have used and listened to many of the best amps in the world. This isn't one of them, but let me clarify what they are and which "one of them" can be considered the opposite. First, this amp has low noise, high performance (for its form factor, power consumption, and price), wide and clear soundstage, depth, and good neutrality. They have their own sonic signature, like any audio device, but they are fairly neutral in their presentation, producing a pleasing and transparent sound. I'm a bit obsessed with the classic Radio Shack Minimus 7 speakers (especially those that came out in the late '70s and early '80s), modified them with Zilch circuits to smooth their response, and their enclosures heavily modified to get the most out of them from the system. it looked good back then. I use premium parts and this little amp gets them singing with no problem. This is actually more than what I need for them in terms of performance and exactly what they need in terms of quality after the speaker mods.2. Secondly, the "best amps in the world" are largely handcrafted from the best parts, consume vast amounts of power, and use various circuits that are often fairly simple and ancient technologies to achieve clarity, low distortion, low noise, maximum fidelity, and etc. This type of fidelity reaches the last 5%. For those who are used to hearing the last 5% of sound perfection, I have to say that a good 90% of this 5% of the sound world consists of psychological and psychoacoustic phenomena. What we can measure in the lab is very useful, but often doesn't support the claims of the wildest audiophile adventures. While this amp is a giant killer when it comes to near-field (maybe even midfield) monitoring, it's not a miracle worker or a replacement for super high-end gear. I'd say this amp gives you a 90-92% path to pristine sound, especially for near-field listening, regardless of price, given the power limitations of power-hungry and long-range designs. Conclusion: You can spend a lot more. what you did at home on the stereo system and at some point you are still dissatisfied. For a small near-field situation, especially to power computer speakers, to power a portable setup, even to have a good listening experience in the living room, depending on your taste and how much money you have to spend to be comfortable in your system, this amplifier can be for you I dare say I would even recommend it as an additional monitor amp for passive studio monitors. I use multiple monitors in the studio and this amp actually connects to a speaker switcher that drives my smaller reference monitors. TLDR: Good stuff. Take it.
