It was a little awkward at first because I'm used to a regular flat mouse pad, but the pad is very soft and comfortable. Almost feels like a gel. It also had reinforced edges to prevent the lining from fraying like my old mouse pad did. Of course it's more expensive than the regular ones you can find everywhere, but what really won me over was the non-slip bottom. It sticks to the table but is not an adhesive and therefore leaves no marks.
