Leggings are nice and comfortable in cold weather. Just cover your face or just use them as neck warmers. They have an internal place to add an N95 filter so you can use them as filtering face masks if you wish (filters are not included in the product sold). This company makes their gaiters in the USA which was a major selling point for me. I would not buy spats with these American images unless they are made in the USA. Most other companies that make similar American leggings are made in China. Other companies' products may be a little cheaper, but I don't mind spending a few extra bucks to support American manufacturing, and I know China isn't getting my money for making these American-style leggings.
