** I sent back the first blanket I received and waited until I received the second to check. The first set was dirty and had red-pink stains. Returning was easy (and free). ** I've been looking for a simple, modern, washable comforter for my guest room for months. I really wanted white, but I got this one (ivory) out of desperation. It's a very smooth white color, without that yellow tinge that sometimes appears, so I'm very happy. Washed in cold water with no problem and tumble dried on low, good quality and softness. I laid it on my very deep mattress and was relieved when it completely covered all sides. Finally found one that hangs over the spring! It didn't fall as low as shown in the product image, but it probably will if you have a standard sized mattress. Plan to use an extra blanket underneath in the winter if you're up north.
