Installation took less than 10 minutes. I had to hop onto Revain to see a picture of what it should look like. (The instruction manual is pretty short and vague.) My laptop quickly downloaded the driver and I was gone! Certainly not. The audio was so low that when I spoke directly into the mic it only varied between 3-26%, even after I turned the volume up to 100%. I tested the mic online, on my webcam, using the computer settings for the mic, very weak input. After wrestling with him for 30 minutes, I gave up. Then I remembered I have another laptop! Surprisingly, everything worked fine on the Chromebook. Webcam well received, online voice recorder. The only problem was that he picked up EVERYTHING. Music was playing downstairs and I was upstairs with the door closed and I could hear it on the tape. You would literally know what song was playing and at some points it even overwhelmed my voice. (The music downstairs wasn't very loud, so that's weird.) I was going to make a YouTube video of this, but I don't need it to literally collect everything, so I'm giving it back. Delivered today, returned tomorrow. I need something with easily accessible settings that will work on the laptop I want to record videos on.
