I'm giving 1 star for the main reason this product contains BHT. There are several other ingredients, such as B. limonene, which can also cause skin irritation. I am returning this product. If you don't care about those things, I can attest that the scent of lavender is great and with the right amount of water it's very smooth on the skin. I've used this to shave my legs and face so can't speak to the foaming ability for wet shaving fanatics as I used it alone and not with a boar or badger brush. I'm disappointed that it has bad ingredients because I really liked the smell and the idea of a slippery shaving cream, but there's no way I intentionally add more chemicals to my body, especially the skin, which is the largest organ and the first line of defense. From now on I check the ingredients of all shaving products. I buy and will look for limited ingredients that use real essential oils and don't use harmful chemicals.
