Definitely not bad for the money

Overall I really like these lights as they pack a lot of features into a small package. The remote seems to work well as long as you're within about 20 feet. There are multiple modes to choose from and you can change the speed of those that blink, blink or fade. You can also adjust the brightness of any static or continuous lighting mode. If you're looking for sync between all the lights, look elsewhere. While you can turn them all on at the same time or change modes, they won't sync. If that is not important to you, you should be satisfied with this purchase. They're very bright, but I wish they had a little more light diffusion than the clear lenses they currently come with. The fact that they are waterproof opens up many possible uses. Just make sure they're screwed together tightly before attempting this. (See my attached photos). If you unscrew a non-working flashlight, you will see two metal protrusions on either side of the battery. These tabs should be in contact with the outer copper ring found on the top half of the lantern. Bending the two tabs slightly will allow them to make the necessary contact with the copper ring, which should solve the problem. If that doesn't work, then you really do have a faulty light. Four out of the ten lights in my order didn't work, and this little fix got them all working. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Good functionality - multiple modes to choose from; Flash/Fade/Strobe/Smooth speed adjustable; the brightness of the static lighting is also adjustable; the range is reasonable.2. Waterproof - they can be used in water or other clear liquids.3. The price is great value considering you get 10 lights and 2 remotes. Cons: 1. Clear lens - this can be subjective, but I would prefer to see them with a diverging lens to spread the light better. 2. Poor Sync - If more than one light source is on at the same time, you will eventually desync when using any of the Flash/Fade/Strobe/Smooth modes.3. Some headlights may not work right out of the box - this can most likely be fixed by the solution above, but it's due to poor quality control by the manufacturer.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from the testers
Cons
  • Not everything fits
