, I was looking for mascara wand and eyeliner brush bottles, so I'm glad I found this set. I bought these bottles to make it easier to apply homemade serum to my eyebrows and lashes. These vials come with a mini funnel which came in handy for pouring my serum from the mixing container into the vials. I didn't use a lip gloss applicator but the eyeliner and mascara applicators do their job well. As for spills, the contents of the vials still spilled despite the rubber stoppers provided, so I just stood them upright. My serum isn't as thick and sticky as mascara or liquid eyeliner, so maybe those types of makeup are better kept in bottles. When traveling, use a zippered bag just in case. All in all, these vials do the trick!
