Absolutely TERRIBLE! As someone who has been sewing for over 20 years I know how to work with any fabric and how to use this sewing foot. yes it cuts But it doesn't cut it close enough to the edge to make it useful, nor does it cut straight. You cannot keep a straight edge due to the way the fabric is fed into the cutter, it will pucker the edge on leotards, even if you treat them right, and since this is meant to mimic a curved edge, it competes with the opposite. Instead: Take a rotary cutter (for an easy, clean cutting edge) and an overcasting foot and use a wide double overlock stitch or any wide stretch stitch. (Offers are marked in yellow, the best ones in red in the picture). Be sure to trim the edge CORRECTLY before sewing the edge immediately after cutting to desired width. This works with knits as well as wovens etc. I also find it helpful to test this out on a piece of fabric and play around with the thread tension until it's just how you like it. Be sure to use the overlock foot as this stitch keeps the edge flat. Without this foot (with the standard or universal foot) the edge will curl, making it very uneven and unfinished. In this case, try to relax the tension. Here is a good overlock foot: https://www.amazon.
