Flattering: my feedback

I purchased this particular swimdress because of the pattern. My 17 year old daughter wants to coordinate swimwear patterns. What an honor that my teenager wants to do this!I like a full coverage swimsuit. This was my first experience with a swimdress and I am not disappointed in the coverage. I bought based on their size chart and my actual measurements. It fit correctly. I was pleasantly surprised to find the torso is long enough. I generally have to buy long torso suits. The legs on the shorts were consistent with the swim shorts I typically wear. The straps were wide enough they did not cut into my shoulders. I was concerned about how the inner bra would fit. Sometimes, swimsuits create an unflattering, unnatural cleavage on me. That did not happen with this. There is just enough support to keep them up, between the empire waist and the inner bralette. It does not squish them to the middle, either. Now for the few negatives. The skirt is not hemmed. I expect it will fray, run, or curl after I wear it the first time. I will follow the recommended care instructions, including the salt water soak. Hopefully, taking those steps will prevent any issues. Also, there is a vertical cut in the fabric along the edge of the skirt. It is a small defect. I am debating whether to exchange the suit for another just like it, but the cut is less than 1/4" in the black part of the fabric. If this suit holds up well over the summer, I am sure I will purchase another from this line.

Pros
  • This swim dress is easy to wear and easy to care for, making it a convenient choice for any beach day
Cons
  • The hemline on the dress is too short and revealing
