Review on Incase Collection Backpack Heather Gunmetal by Diane Diaz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent backpack with some flaws but not critical

A very good backpack that offers lots of organization and storage options. The site says it's around 22 liters but when I compare it to others they say they're 28-30 liters. , this bag seems to hold the same or even more. I like the laptop compartment because you can store your laptop there as well as lots of files and folders. Then there is another compartment with enough space for more items. I use this bag for work so the 2 large compartments work well. Others may not like the 2 large compartments and may prefer 1 larger compartment and 1 laptop-only compartment. The front organization panel is also good with really good organization options. Also, the top quick access pocket is solid and has a very soft material. What bothers me is the lack of pockets for water bottles. The small side pockets with quick access seem useless to me and there is no chest strap. The chest strap is not a barrier. Sometimes I don't like having it on so there's a lot of dangling straps, but sometimes when I'm wearing it with my slippery shell down jacket the straps seem to move a bit. Since I generally don't walk, just go from the car to the office, this doesn't violate the agreement. The same goes for the lack of bottle cages. I don't usually carry a water bottle with me, so it doesn't really matter right now. The main disadvantage for me with this bag is that the mottled gray fabric bag is made of black fabric on the inside. This makes it very difficult to look inside the bag, especially the main organization compartment, as this compartment does not open in a U-shape, but opens as a long slit in the front. Luckily, this bag has a lot of built-in volume and the organization is well organized so I can find my way to the things I need. I would also say that I'm not sure how durable this bag will be. I'm pretty sure they don't use YKK zippers, they feel nice but aren't bulky and sometimes hang around on the fabric. All in all I've been using this bag for about a month and haven't had any issues so far, but I'm concerned about the durability. The fabric also seems good but on the other hand I don't think it will be that durable and I don't think the fabric is very water repellent either. Overall this is a great bag that I have compared to about 10 other bags and this one wins for its organization and carrying capacity.
