My wife bought it. If you are looking for table decorations, these will do. If you need something functional to keep your countertop clean, they will fail miserably. The woven design leaves countless gaps in which to hide spilled food. If you spill liquid, it will immediately seep through the "mat" onto the table, giving you multiple surfaces to clean. Cleaning cloths in general are a nuisance as they either have to be completely hand dried or left to dry. The woven nature of these rugs means they hold water well, take longer to dry on their own and are difficult to towel dry completely. In my opinion they indicate a trend towards poor functional design in favor of an aesthetic feature. At least you look pretty.
