As far as I can tell it helps. It's not a perfect seal, but it keeps my product as fresh as possible. I put a hydration pouch inside to keep the humidity level inside accurate to the level of the product I'm storing and as far as I can tell the lifespan of the product has increased significantly. This is the main reason for my 5 star rating. However, I would also like to mention that the Tightvac was delivered on time with reasonable delivery and appears to be sturdy, which is important to me. The only thing I can say against the Tightvac is that when I push the button down to put the cap back on I sometimes can't put it on properly. This happens maybe 1 in 30 times. It could be user error on my part, and I usually figure it out after playing with it for an extra five seconds. So nothing as outrageous as deducting a star. Considering other competitors I think I will buy from this company again.
